Cheetham’s Pharmacy has been locally owned and operated for nearly thirty years. Throughout this time Cheetham’s has built an outstanding reputation becoming known for their superb personable customer service. Husband and wife team, Manan and Janaki Patel, obtained ownership of Cheetham’s Pharmacy in June 2020. Manan and Janaki are life-long friends who became partners in life and business. With four local Saskatchewan pharmacies in their portfolio, they have gained the knowledge and experience necessary for successfully operating their pharmacies with efficiency while remaining committed to providing outstanding customer service. Manan’s background in pharmacy and pharmacy management accompanied with Janaki’s background in business create a dynamic business team. The Patel’s are excited to build upon Cheetham’s well established legacy in Saskatoon while stimulating the local economy and giving back to the community.
Cheetham’s Pharmacy’s central location in Saskatoon across from City hospital provides convenient access from all areas in the city. If you are unable to come to Cheetham’s, our fast, friendly, and free delivery service will gladly bring your prescription to you. If you’re unable to drop off your prescription, we can have your prescription picked up or faxed to us from your physician. Our out-of-town customers enjoy free shipping through mail.
Cheetham’s Pharmacy is open Monday through Friday from 9am-5pm. If there is an emergency outside of our business hours, Cheetham’s Pharmacy always has a pharmacist on call. We want our customers to know Cheetham’s pharmacists are always available when they need us. Our expert pharmacists provide medication advice while also specializing in smoking cessation, diabetes, and senior’s wellness. Our pharmacists can prescribe for minor ailments including hemorrhoids, acid reflux, headache, eczema, hay fever, cold sores, canker sores, and athlete’s foot.
At Cheetham’s Pharmacy our senior customers receive an extra level of care. This includes free medication assessments, free bubble packing and pill splitting and senior’s discounts on many in-store items. Seniors in private care home and independent living residences are eligible to receive free in-house pharmacist visits and basic monthly foot care.

Cheetham’s care home clients will receive the best pharmaceutical care possible. Each of our care homes is assigned a pharmacist, who makes in-home visits to patients and provides in-services to staff members about diseases and medications. Acne
Acne is a skin condition affecting adolescents and adults that can appear as mild, moderate, and severe. Whiteheads and blackheads are the most commonly used terms to describe mild to moderate acne and their frequency determines the treatment plan. General face washing with a non-irritating soap in the morning and at night is recommended for anyone struggling to control acne. Additionally, medications (both non-prescription and prescription) can be used to keep acne from spreading. Severe acne, which appears as large inflammatory nodules, requires a doctor’s assessment and usually only responds to more aggressive prescription acne therapy. Alergies
Seasonal allergies, also known as Allergic Rhinitis, are an immune response to allergy triggers (i.e. pollen, dust) in the air. Allergies are often mistaken as the common cold, but usually involve more sneezing, a runny or stuffed nose, and eye irritation. Furthermore, allergies are more common in the spring and summer, whereas the common cold is more common in the fall and winter. Seasonal allergies can be quite bothersome and can affect concentration at work/school, sleeping habits, and your overall daily routine. Although seasonal allergies are rarely a serious medical condition, it is still important to receive proper treatment. There are both non-prescription and prescription medications available depending on the severity of the allergies. Regardless, it is important to start treatment prior to the allergy season in order to receive an effective result.
Eczema (Atopic Dermatitis)
Eczema is a lifelong skin condition that first appears in early childhood and reoccurs periodically into adulthood. It is recognized by itchiness, oozing/weeping sores, and cracking/bleeding skin. Eczema ranges in severity and treatment options, but usually appears in several common sites (hands, wrists, legs, feet, behind the knees, neck, and face). Although eczema should first be diagnosed by a physician, pharmacists can prescribe medications to treat eczema flare-ups. Proper skin care and moisturizing is helpful to prevent eczema from worsening and often is the only treatment needed. However, prescription medication is sometime required when eczema becomes inflamed and irritated.
Cold Sores
Cold sores are bothersome blisters that typically appear around the mouth and sometimes on the nostrils. They are caused by a virus known as Herpes Simplex and can reoccur several times a year. Cold sores are transmitted by saliva and can be passed on to another person when an infection is present. To reduce the severity of the infection, it is important to seek medication before the sore appears. Many people feel a tingling sensation a day or two before the lesion appears, which is the ideal time to seek treatment. Furthermore, cold sores can be triggered by illness, stress, medical procedures, and hormonal changes. Antiviral medication can be accessed without a prescription through pharmacists if the patient has been previously diagnosed with cold sores by a physician.
Diaper Rash
Diaper rash is a common skin rash that is caused by continuous exposure to urine and feces. The rash can simply be due to skin irritation, or it can be further complicated by an infection. Prompt treatment of an uncomplicated diaper rash, which usually appears as red shiny bumps, can help prevent infection. Often, changing diapers and allowing the skin to air out is enough to provide relief, but medicated creams are sometimes necessary.
